My Weigh 11 gram – 55 Carat Pocket Mechanical Scale

Place scale on a flat, level surface and make sure that both slides are in the fullest left position.

TO ZERO YOUR SCALE, move the small middle adjustment sliding weight so that the beam is even (level) with the nearest edge of the base. When weighing objects, powders or granulated materials, be sure that the items are placed in the bowl as close to the center as possible to assure that the bowl is level enough to swing freely. Liquids will center immediately.

TO USE and read you scale is very simple; the lower slide will measure the portions of a Gram, up to 1 Gram. The upper slide adds to that measurement by the number at which it is set. For example: to measure 4.5 Grams, you would set the upper slide at 4, then move the lower slide to .5. To weigh an unknown amount, move the upper slide until the beam falls, move it to the next lower numbered notch then move the lower slide to balance the beam.

IMPORTANT: Every time you use your new scale, be sure that it is zeroed correctly and that the material being weighed is placed in the bowl evenly to allow it to swing freely.
